I'm new to this forum, and I'm working on getting my car back on the road, but I will need some parts to do so.

I'm looking for N* engine parts '93-'99
1) I need the camshaft that has the water pump pulley attach to it. (intake camshaft) And the pulley wheel too.
2) I also need the Oil filter adapter (where the Oil filter and the two hoses from the Oil cooler attach to the engine)
3) I also need the deep stick!

Thanks!
JG

Hey man, I think i have the stuff your looking for. I just swapped engines out of my 94 seville sls. I have a dipstick, and the oil filter adapter with the sensor but i Dont have those 2 hoses , and I have a all four cams and the pully. So hit me up at drummer7886@msn.com. I can take some pics and just tell me if you are interested. and I live in florida.

Which engine do you have, the VIN Y or VIN 9? I'm not 100% but I thought the camshaft angle was different on the two...

Try watching Ebay for Nstar parts if these guys don't have what you need. I've seen them on there regularly.

I've had really good luck for new parts at "gmpartsdirect". Their price is outstanding and their ship time is very prompt. All you need is a part number and they'll give you a quote. However, you could probably get a better price on used parts and e-bay is a good place to check, but new parts on e-bay is sometime very nebulous.

Actually Jack, I've found you don't even need part numbers for gmpartsdirect (though if you do it will save you time). You can accept the liability terms of agreement to view their online catalogue and simply search for the part & number :). This saved me a ton of time and effort. If you also do this and get the part #s you can call up most dealership's parts department and get pricing close to what gmpartsdirect will charge before shipping, thus saving you shipping costs, and in most cases you can pickup the parts sameday!

Obviously this only works if you have a dealership nearby but I've found that they (dealerships in CT, and GA) usually charge 10% higher for parts than gmpartsdirect, but have no shipping. This helps on large/heavy items. The one downside is if you don't have the part # my experience is they DOUBLE the cost of the part. Enjoy!
