We need something fresh other than new wheels that were changed every two years. jteolis 07-29-05, 09:14 AM I think everyones right, here. A new CTS will appear in 2007....in the Fall as a 2008 model. This is EXACTLY right, as I pointed out in a previous thread, if the car would be the next model year, 2007 then we'd be seeing pictures of mules, etc by now as manufacture would be less than a year away from now! 2008 model year, debuting about 2 years from now. Fall 2007. megeebee 07-29-05, 12:00 PM :hmm: Five years with the same CTS design, it's time for something new in 2007. We need something fresh other than new wheels that were changed every two years. Actually, 6 years is the usual life span of a vehicle at GM. Though the head of design (Ed Wellburn) has promised more mid-cycle freshenings (I remember when they used to call them "facelifts") in the future, which is not a bad thing at all given the level of competition these days. I must say though that the CTS has worn very well for a design half-way through its fourth year on the market. I wouldn't have guessed it in back in 2001 when it was first shown (Automobile Magazine, August 2001). Sales are still very strong. In fact much higher than Cadillac projected at its launch. And thank you JTEOLIS for the confirmation. There's often confusion when an article somewhere says that a new design is coming in a particular year. They don't often distinguish between model year or calendar year. | |
