I bet that'll replace the supercharged v8s in their E55, S55, CL55 and SL55
:shhh:

That would be a perfect real estate car, the S55 with this engine :lildevil: HAHA

First of all. That isn't the worlds first high reving big displacement engine, the LS7 beat it. So it has 200rpms over the LS7, wow, I'm impressed, those OHC engines really are superior  . The thing probably weighs twice as much as the LS7 but I didn't see them bragging about that. :hmm:

The only good thing about that asteroid of aluminum is that GM might bump up the power on future LS7's. We know it's good for far more than 505HP...

Good point.
There are many other comparison formulas needed to tell what really is a "good" engine. Most often quoted is displacement/HP
But how about these:
lbs (as in weight)/HP
Package size/HP
Number of parts needed to construct the engine/HP
Maintenance cost/mile/HP
Replacement (rebuilt) cost of engine/HP
Cost of adding power/HP

I would think that in almost all of them the LS1/2/6/7 is superior. :worship:
I donít even want to think of the maintenance cost/HP of an Ferrari . :histeric:

Didn't the supercharged LS2 dyno at 505hp under old sae methods? New would be 510hp.

Check (http://www.motorsporttech.com/)the Devil Ray 427 engine (http://www.motorsporttech.com/) out.

Maybe for 2006 CTS-V's with the LS2 this would be a comparable upgrade. They do have CTS-V options as well.

Here is an American version of the story.

They say it will even fit in the C-class. I think a C63 might be fun.

You just have to wonder how much power that monster will make when AMG puts FI on it. YEAH BABY!

sThe numbers ure give them the right to resurect the 6.3 badge!

The 300SEL 6.3 at the bottom of the first article was one BAMF back in the day! The numbers on that sure give them the right to resurect the 6.3 badge. The original 6.3 held the title as the most expensive car to maintain ever built for quite some time, some things probably won't change.

Most expensive to maintain and keep, huh? I am wondering about my 99 STS! I bet I could give them a run $$ for $$!
This ls2 and ls6 and ls7 talk, which ones are the hand assembled ones that are made at the one plant again? Is it the LS6 and LS7? I know they are doing the new supercharged Northstar too. Or not the LS6? That has been discontinued, correct?
