What are Polar Ice Rotors? (copyright and trademark protected 2005)
Our exclusive Polar Ice rotors are one piece forged directional vane sport rotors for both the Cadillac CTS and CTS-V. They are of a one piece OEM size and begin their process as a proprietary thermal treated cold forged solid one piece directional vane rotor.
From there, we gas slot the rotor blank and will cross drill the rotor blank at no additional charge. Now there has been extensive debate that drilling a brake rotor makes it prone to cracking and there is "some truth" to that statement as even Brembo offers "no warranty on rotor warping or cracking on there own cross drilled rotors; whereas we DO!
How do we do it?
After cross drilling the rotor; we place the rotor in a sealed cryogenic tank that is filled under pressure with liquid nitrogen. This process closes all of the microscopic fissures and veins that are inherent even in forged carbon steel. The end result is that the rotors density has been increased by a minimum of 300%. This process helps lower rotor temperature and increases the density of the rotor steel making it virtually impervious to cracking and warping or rotor runout. WE HAVE NEVER HAD A ROTOR EVER FAIL DUE TO WARPAGE OR CRACKING.....EVER!
Finally, the rotors are either tin-zinc or nickel plated and end up looking like fine jewelry behind your custom chrome wheels.
All of our rotors are directionally surfaced and mill-balanced to insure that you receive the finest custom build brake rotor in the industry.
As an added option: we offer powder coating of the rotor hubs in a variety of colors to give the appearance of the two piece big brake look, Hawk dustless brake pads and custom DOT approved braided stainless steel brake lines as well as custom built 14" big brake kits for the real track and speed enthusiast.
We also offer matching powder coated front and rear PBR calipers with a 30 day caliper core exchange to complete the entire appearance package.
Cadillac MotorSport Polar Ice Rotors are the finest rotors that you can buy for your CTS at a cost that will surprise you! If you can make your CTS say "giddy-up go"; we will make it say "whoa"!
These rotors will more than likely be the very last set of rotors that you'll ever buy for your CTS. We have sold countless sets of these rotors to forum members and all have been delighted with the product......just ask!
