I am interested in getting the Mille Migla that fit our cars from the tirerack and also the Dunlop Super Sport Race tires. Now I used the Dunlops on my prior car, S2000, and they were great.

My question is:
Front 255/35/18 or 235/40/18
Rear 255/35/18 or 265/35/18

Will this set up work? Will there be any rubbing?

I will be calling tirerack tomorrow but wanted to know what the widest tire we can use on our Vs?

I guess the tire width is 25 inches.

Although you could stagger the tire sizes, you may find the car easier to rotate if you keep the sizes identical.... this is particularly true in a road course, or autocross, environment.

235/40/18 or 255/35/18 all the way around...

Note that the 255/35 exceeds the mfg's "max rim spec" :(

Thanks for the info.

This whole set up will cost only 1600. Hopefully it's worth it.

Looking into this further... Comparing the width of the Hoosiers 245/40 (which people run and are happy with) vs. the Dunlops 235/40 vs. Dunlop 255/35... I believe 235/40 Dunlop will outhandle Dunlop 255/35 on the 8" Mille Miglie's.

I used 255mm SP Race on four stock wheels and they were fine. Just blistered(over heated) one and it sent me off course. Don't know if it was the tire or car's weight distribution that over heated them. Quite a scary experience.

Good price for the tires though. Double check the maximum width for the desired rubber and you'll see the Millias are too narrow. I know I went through the same senario and ended up buying OE wheels.
