What does everyone think a good car (pre 1973) for putting a 472 into would be. I was thinking either a chevy nova or a ford pinto. I'm buying an engine and tranny but I can't think of a real cool car, or not cool like the pinto, to put it in. Any suggestions at all are helpful, thanks.:gnome:

A Nova would be pretty sweet. If you use one of the older ones with the springs on the upper a-arms, I'd measure the distance between the fenderwells to see if the Cad would fit before buying. There's definately the length in there though.
A Camaro would be really nice, it has a great suspension for good handling, but that swap has been done a few times.
How about just some really odd-ball car. An Edsel Ford? Pacer? Gremlin?

A Chevette like Car Craft did a few years ago with the 500! That thing was insane!
I always wanted to put a 500 into my old Volvo 240. I've seen 500's in Volvo 240 wagons. Now THAT'S a sleeper! :)
You should put it in a Vista Cruiser. Now that's a sleeper with a view!

I've always fancied the 70 to 72 monte carlo for that kind of swap. Lighter than a caddy but still classy.
