 Hello All

I've just bought my first Cadillac (a 2000 Escalade) i've gotta say its the best car i've had so far.
I live in the UK so theres not too many resources for Cadillacs over here.

What i'd like to know is whats involved in changing the factory CD changer in the console to one that can play CDR's and hopefully MP3's.
I'd like to keep the Bose Head unit as i like the sound from it.

The other thing thats causing me trouble is the in dash CD player - it wont seem to play anything (including brand new CD's) - I've tried a Cleaning disk wich annoyingly is the only thing that has played in it so far.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

congrats on your new purchase, i love my 1999 :bouncy:

I dont think their is any way to adapter a diffferent cd changer into the factory location and still use the bose radio to control it.

you might be better off buying an Ipod

you could do something like this: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-v4ZV9jSEizH/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=610&I=158CDX565M
which uses a FM modulator. you won't be able to control it like the stock changer, but it'll play through the stock headunit.
