I was never really considering new wheels becuase I like the stockers so much but a buddy of mine owns a wheel shop and is going to sell me a set at or close to his cost. What I need help is which one to choose. Even with the hook up, I cant see myself spending a whole lot of money because the minute I hit a pothole or accidently hit a curb im gonna freak out. I've basically narrowed it down to these 2, please let me which one of these wheels you think would look better on a Redline V because im not a very visual person. They are going to be 19x8.5 all the way around with 245/40/19 tires:

#1

OR #2
http://mhtwheels.com/wheel.cfm?brand=5&cat=94

So, whats it gonna be, #1 or #2?
Thanks in advance for the advice!!!

I cast my vote for #2.

I like #2 I just wish it didn't have the bend in the spoke. I think it would look better straight. I wasn't sold on it until I looked at the BMW 5 picture.

Same wheels but not chrome?

Both would be chrome and I do agree about the bend in the spoke. Dammit I hate making decisions. Neither wheel is stocked so I cant put them up to the V to get a better idea on which one looks better. You guys are awesome, thanks for the help, KEEP THE INPUT COMIN!

WAIT!!! Are you sure you can get the Fooses that you showed to fit the V??? If so, I'm gonna be pissed! I emailed Foose and Lund. I never got an email back from Foose and Lund said they have nothing.

Personally, I like the Foose line.

Ya BigJim, my buddy called MHT and confirmed that in their entire line, those are the only 2 wheels that will fit our V.

The Foose that 1g...I believe has only comes in 20" if I'm not mistaken. But I like the one you showed because 19" is the biggest I would've gone. If you go that route, keep me updated.

Thanks for all of the replies! I actually decided on the Niche F-18's. The Foose were nice but to be honest from the pictures posted on this forum, I wasn't as impressed with them as I was the Niche's. Getting them installed tomorrow afternoon!

The Niche looks better IMO. My rims are very similar to them, but without the bend (and mine are three-piece, not sure if the Niches are).

as seen in one pf the ppicvs the FOOSE Speedsters will NOT be 5 spoke! but 6 spoke: Speedster 6!!
I had to make this same choice and after seeing the F-16s in person on an Acura TL... I was disgusted by them!!! I chose the Speedster 6 powdercoated black.
bad rim pic but...

Ive got the Foose Speedster 6. 20" in chrome. 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 rear BFG G-Force T/A Kdws. All the feedback I have gotten is positive. They all say "not too flashy" or "just right". The ride is fine. Unless your in the inner city I wouldnt worry about bending anything. I have owned 3 sets of 20's and 2 sets of 22's and have never even gotten a flat. Email me if you want some pics. Otherwise there are some in the pics section. jimmylomonaco@hotmail.com

Id wait to see what axis gets for us, as the price will be like half the cost of some of the other wheels that are available for our cars. Cause honestly I agree with Florian, neither of those really looks good. Id got for classy yet racy - not flaunty and ghetto like - IMO

I know where you guys are coming from. But I have a little something different in mind. Like some other guys mentioned I respect everyones choice. But I'm looking for the "intimidator look".

I have a platinum and was looking for a nice set of wheels with a black center and a polished lip. Staggered of course. I think the silver with a black center would look very MEAN.

I don't like either one. A) don't like either design and B) Chrome is so cheesey. Polished aluminum is MUCH better looking. Chrome is too "Look at Me"

I think the stock wheels look better than either of these choices....

I like HRE, Kenesis and Fikse wheels - anyone know if those companies are making 6 lug fitments for our cars?

Post some pics of the niche installed? Also will you get some close ups of the brake spacing as it relates to the wheels?

Absolutely, those chrome Niche wheels are badass. I will be ordering some so I can have them installed next spring. $400 per (19 inch) wheel, wrapped in GS-D3s. 245/40 front, 275/35 rear. Pix of those installed would be greatly appreciated.

I love the Foose Speedster 6.

Don't like the 2nd wheel....

I would get them painted/powder coated in black.

I have a Raven Black with Black wheels polished lip and centers. Very Stealth looking IMO.

I would have "voted" for the Foose, mostly b/c I didn't like the bend in the others. Now I just want to see pics of the wheels installed.

First you gotta make the Ohio Meet. Time is up!:D

Those are Kyowa K316 rims from Victoria tire. About $239 each. http://www.victoriatire.com/ They are hot on a black or gray car!

Outlaw,

I was just wondering if you ever got the wheels installed (hope you did because I am very interested in those Niche Wheels), and if so, how do they look and handle?

I figure I would add my 2c. THe V is a very difficult car to put wheels on. One of the reasons that the OEM wheel looks best is that it hides a lot of the brakes and just gives you a peek. Its a personal thing but looking at nothing but rotor and caliper doesent look good. Look at any custom car or show car. They dont highlight the brakes.

So on that note, a multispoke (6+) or web wheel that covers alot of the brakes will probably appeal to most.:duck:

It's a personal taste thing. My opinion is just the opposite. I like seeing a set of Big Brakes with cross drilled slotted rotors w/polished or painted calipers. Your wheels can say a lot more than just "Chrome". :yup:
