: Damaged throttle cable (1998 Deville)

When I was working on my 1998 Cadillac Deville, I needed to remove the throttle body. When putting everything back together, I realized I damaged the throttle cable. The cable is a bit frayed.

I ordered a new cable and will replace it. I notice there is a "ball" at each end of the throttle cable. Do I just pop the ball out of the throttle groove and the pedal? And simply put the new cable in and snap it in place?

Any tricks or is it straight-forward?

Thanks !

Easy peasy to hook back up, the ends rotate until cable slot then pulls off(haven't looked at pedal in a while). Running the cable probably not so easy.

Thanks,

It wasn't as bad as I thought I might be. The hardest part was removing the clip from the firewall, and also installing the new cable clip into the firewall, due to lack of space.

The whole job was about 30 minutes.
