A Maggied forum member, ronr, was in town tonight and we did a little V swapping.

Three comments:

1. Again I must resist buying a Maggie (The low end power of Ron's V is calling me everytime I drive his car)
2. Corsa is so much more cabin friendly than a B&B x-pipe yet I'll never switch.
3. Forgot how much the factory shifter sucks compared to the UUC. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200, buy one now.

Wake up Maggie, I think Rick's got a V for you!
Don't wait 'til September when all the kids are back in school.
I know his V is confused,
And RonR's Platinum leaves him feeling used,
Oh Maggie, Rick can't try, any more...
You're leading him away from home,
Just to save him from being slow.
Ron blew his doors off and that's the part that really hurts.

The screaming whine under the hood really shows your rage.
But that won't worry Rick none, he'll tune you anyway
He'll laugh when his tires get smoked,
And the driver of that Merc just chokes
Oh Maggie, Rick can't try, any more...
You're leading him away from home,
Yeah he sees the light of getting that V blown
That platinum smoked his ass and that's the part that really hurts.

All Rick needed was some heads, a cam and a free weekend,
But he's thinking of that huffer and that's all he dreams about,
Boosted pressure is wrecking his head,
And knowing Rick he'll paint it Stealth red,
Oh Maggie, Rick can't try, any more...
You're making him want to get blown,
But the poor guys trying to buy a new home,
Yeah Maggie ate his lunch and that's the part that really hurts.

I suppose Rick could just buy some bottles of that NOSlike drool,
Or just trade for a Z06 vette, but that wouldn't be too cool,
Yes, I know, he's still thinking heads and cam,
but he'll need a hell of a lot more to catch that silver man,
Oh Maggie I wish you'd never shown Rick your face
You're making him think a weekend, basic tools, and me
But then his wife will think "yeah, what a tool he can be"
You stole his car when that Platinum blew him away...

:drinker Hey, I'm entitled. I've been up for 42 hours and managed to get the St of Nevada to abate nearly $twoVee$ worth of sales tax today

Load the stock Maggie tune back in Ron's V and I think I could take him in the 1/4 mile. :)

Only if you run the stock V tune as well! :histeric:

With my V as it sits today and a stock Maggie setup; there isn't as much performance difference as one would think. The power bands are different (Maggie is good low but suffers up top - my V loves the top).

At the end of running through the gears in a 1/4 mile, a Maggie isn't worth twice the price of the mods I've got in my V. Add a custom tune to the Maggie and a smaller pulley - now that's a different story.

My V has only lost one street race ever and that was because I missed 3rd gear. :p

How much difference with the smaller pulley (custom tune on stock & smaller pulley)??

Dreamin -

Stock Maggie pulley and tune is <-----> this much better than a stock V and only <-> this much better than a n/a V with "other" bolt ons and a killer StealthV tune.

Smaller Maggie pulley and Rick's tune is <:wtf:> better then either of the aforementioned setups.

It's probably true that the Maggie all by itself suffers a little at the top end, but by the time a NA LS6 recovers the quarter mile is over. That's also the reason that a cam swap should be in order if you install the Maggie. Then you can have your cake and eat it too (SC down low and cammed at top). After I install my next two relatively inexpensive mods (90mm ported TB and short pulley) this "V" gonna melt pavement at over 500rwhp.

Stealth, you know you want one...get a Maggie and be happy.:lildevil:
