: Anyone Before and After Drop-In Dyno??

Just picked up and 05 V on Saturday and I am very excited. I sold a heavily modifed - H/C '04 GTO and am looking to a bit different with the more refined V.

Has anyone back to back Dynoed the stock drop-in K&N. The intake options on the caddy are pretty simple, but I noticed Stealth V is big on replacing the tube/drop in filter, while Lingenfelter / More are replacing the air box. Both seem to claim about 10 HP. Where is the power really coming from - the filter itself or the tube?

Has anyone just replaced the stocker with the drop-in K&N and compared?

Drop in will be in the 5-10 range depending on ambient conditions in the dyno environment. The FFV w/ filter is purposely underrated @ 10 hp. FFV MAF-Back + LPE + tune to match = heaven (way better than 10) ;)

I am going to replace the squeeze tube next......I think it all needs to go for the best results.
