: do passwords die of "old"age here?

After login tonite rec'd vbulletin msg that my password was 16 days old?? Do members here have to reset their p wds every 3 weeks? There's nothing in the "terms" password section re this, so can a moderator or veteran enlighten me please? Do I have a trial membership?

If your current password is anywhere close to either your username or your registered e-mail address the site will block your access as this type of password is vulnerable and leads to spam hackers abusing the site.

You are currently shown as a Registered Member in the database, so you should be able to login and edit the profile - upper right page corner bar tab labeled "Settings", left column, "My Settings", scroll down to "My Account". The "Edit email and password" tab.

Please create a new password using several different upper and lower case letters, several numbers, and maybe a punctuation mark or two.

Well thanks for the info will change p word, easier than changing emails.
