Well, I've been reading around the site a lot, but this is my first post. I've really learned a lot, this site is great. Last night my 91 Fleetwood Brougham (RWD) was broken into and my stero was ripped out (love the great city of Milwaukee). They pretty much tore the crap out of my dash and smashed my window (see pics). For whatever reason they took the panel that covers the 2 air ducts and stero area. I even looked around to see if they threw it or something... but no. I was wondering where the best place is to find a new panel. I was thinking Ebay, but that can be a hassle sometimes.
Thanks a lot, Eric

Ahhh! Not a 91! try the big 3, e-bay, cadillacking.com, or local junkards. Sorry about the break-in, that really blows.

white leather! that is a nice car....
If they broke in, why is all the broken glass outside the car?

Never thought of that. Must have popped the window, unlocked it, opened the door and at that point everything came flying out. The forker's blood is on the inside of the door! Wish CSI would pay me a visit.

Some $#$%% did the same thing to my '77 back in 1990. The glass is outside because they pryed the top of the door outward. Probably got a mouth full of safety glass. Obviously done by kids.
Next time get one of those piece-O-crap stereo covers that makes your radio look like a stock unit.
Check with your neighbors and the cops. Sooner or later the %##$%$s that did this will get caught as they will hit someone else.
I wonder about hollowing out a radar detector and installing an M-80 with a nichrome wire wrapped around the fuse. The wire could be hooked to the 12 Volt input. Leave it in the car for theives.

I was worried about break-ins as well, so I took my glovebox out and put my headunit in the glovebox and left the stock headunit in the dash, but still hooked up so I can show the time and everything. I just unplugged the outputs from the control box.
