does the browser strictly read html? i might be possible to make a flash front end for an mp3 player to just read the files as if it were from a browser. but i guess that all depends on if the nav can read flash files which is probbaly nil. wish there was an easier way to play mp3's with this thing!

Wont work... There is no way that you are going to get MP3's to play on there. You can burn your songs in non compressed format and make a DVD that plays your songs. With a dual layer DVD you should be able to add plenty of songs that way.
