....like your thumb. I was trying to change my TP Senro with a pair fomr pliers and a torx bit (don't ask). The car was really hot, since the TPS had been kinda stuck at about 1/3 throttle the whoel way home from pepboys (just picked up new TPS). So I reach in there, and burn myself a little. My natural reaction is to withdraw my hand as quickly as possible. I'm not exactly sure how fast my hand was traveling, but when my thumb hit my name tag, it broke something. Not a lcean break, but just a slight fracture me thinks. So, I go into my apartment, and grab a wash cloth, and soak it in ice cold water to keep it from sweeling. Then, I get back in my car, and drive over to the Shop Rite, and grab myself a splint. As soon as I get out of the the store, I put the thing on, only to realize I forgot that surgical tape s**t. They had just closed, and I remembered that I still had a roll of electrical tape back home. I walk in the door, and proceed to wrap the splint in electrical tape to keep it from moving. Then, I grab a cream soda from the fridge, and sit down to type this meaningless thread. Hell, I even took a picture..hehe. Now I gotta go to the dealer, to get a new TPS installed, plus I won;t be able to sub for a missing employee at another store tomorrow liek I promised (Like I care). Anyway, here's the picture of my thumb, and the infamous name tag.

Oy, you broke your Technical Institute card!!! How will you get back in????? :shhh: :p

I know how that feels, back in '86 I fell off a second story roof in winter, well slid down and couldn't stop is more like it, and broke my thumb and wrist, and cracked my right heel heel. Not too fun with crutches, a broken thumb and ice on the ground at the same time. :rolleyes2

You going to bother getting X-rayed or anything?

Hopefully your not lefty. That sucks to brake your thumb. You don't realize how much you use it until you can't.

X-Ray...PSSHH...what's that! I gave it the old wibbly wobbly test, to see if it moved side to side any more than my right thumb. Since it didn't I figured it was just a minor fracture, and obviously didn't break all the way through. I can still move the joint fine, but as soon as something touches the side of my thumb (where I hot the damn name tag), or I try and use it, it hurts like a mother f**ker. That's why I went out and grabbed the splint. Plus, I'm not entirely sure wher the nearest hospital is, and I doubt any Dr's office would be open at 10:00 at night..hehe. It's not so bad though. I have an excuse not to go to work tomorrow now. (hehe...funny smily)

Sorry to hear it......still confused how a thumb can break on an ID card though.....I'd get it checked out just int case. You don't want it to heal crooked.

I got it X-Rayed today, and they said it looked like either a severe bruise, or or maybe a slight hairline fracture. It hurts a little less today, but I still can't use it for anything more than like pulling keys our of my pocket, or buttoning my shirt. It's definitely better than it was last night though.
