...kinda makes you wanna hum an oldie tune. i remember when i first started looking for my Fleetwood i came across that old site but never thought anything about it. then a few months later i came across Cadillacforums.com but i didnt join (but always checked in). then one year later i found my Fleetwood. then a month later i joined the forum. has it been that long? been here for a year now. wow, crazy. January 2003. Makes you feel nostalgic for... 50 Cent? Stoneage_Caddy 06-24-05, 11:09 PM i was here about 6 months after that ....those were heady days ...
back when ralphie and i fought like 2 rabid dogs hooked on crack and steroids over a female dog in heat ... I think I showed up about ten days after that. I remember Wes, KC, Sal, Katshot, and HRS were all here before me. i was here about 6 months after that ....those were heady days ...

Those were the days.... 90Brougham350 06-25-05, 01:16 PM This is pretty crazy. Guess it goes to show how the release of a model like the V can really grow something. I'm wondering if it'll continue to grow this way once the new Vs or the ULS come out.
Brian BeelzeBob 06-25-05, 02:00 PM It actually got very busy before the V.. That was only the first few days after the forum started. Cadillac, and it's comeback, is a lot more than the V-series alone... DeVillish 06-25-05, 05:57 PM I remember those days. Kinda hard to beleave that was over 2 years ago. Alot has changed since then, for the better. Makes you wonder what things will be like in another 2 years. Stoneage_Caddy 06-25-05, 07:29 PM I remember those days. no i dont wonder , i dont even want to know ...im having a hard enough time dealing with the "now" let alone any point int he future weither it be seconds or years BeelzeBob 06-25-05, 08:58 PM ON A LIGHTER NOTE... I AM anxious to see what it's like here in another two years. December 30th will be our third birthday and we've come a long, long way in such little time. Sure, there will be a few bumps in the road - especially when you have so many people hanging out in one place. And it's been rough for me in many, many different ways. But in the end, I love this place and I'm really happy with how it's turned out.
I prefer to look on the brighter side of things.. Stoneage_Caddy 06-25-05, 11:06 PM Before ANYONE else gets any idea that im refering to this site in my eailer post bear in mind i am refering to life in general , NOT this site ....Im sorry for the misunderstanding ....
Im sure this place will be even beatter , and hopefully we all will find ways to get along even beatter than we already do ... BeelzeBob 06-25-05, 11:33 PM Thank you for clearing that up for me. It's rare that anyone gives this forum a much needed pat on the back and I didn't want to see it roll into negativity... ktills45 06-26-05, 10:06 AM Thank you for clearing that up for me. Huh?
I guess it's time for a pat on the back then!
Without a doubt, this forum is an incredible database of USEFUL information on all things Cadillac. So much so that I've started working on my own car again after 15 years of thinking that modern engines were too complicated.
Heck, I bought my CTS because of this forum. The positive feedback from the owners here was a major factor in my purchase, as well as the advance notification of changes in the options and drivetrain.
If you ever start questioning the purpose of doing this, don't.
Plus, in two years if Cadillac isn't a major sponsor of this site after all that YOU have done to help increase their sales, then someone over there is mis-appropriating advertising revenue. davesdeville 06-26-05, 10:41 AM I never would've bought my Eldorado if I hadn't come across first GM forums which refered me to this forum where I've learned a LOT about both of my cars. If I hadn't have come here I'd probably never get to experiance heated leather seats, a sunroof, 300hp and 17mpg in the city, etc...
So in short this forum is awesome. HotRodSaint 06-26-05, 11:33 AM It's rare that anyone gives this forum a much needed pat on the back and I didn't want to see it roll into negativity...
Most of what happens here day to day, is Cadillac owners helping Cadillac owners. And most people come here for the Cadillacs and their love of Cadillacs.
I think overall you and the moderators have done a wonderful job of keeping this place flowing with information. But you and the moderators are just small part of this huge community.
If the people who appreciate their and know about their Cadillacs didn't support their section and share their knowledge, then people would have to search elsewhere.
So in the end, it's a team effort of owners, enthusiasts, moderators and admins keeping this place relevant for the newbies.
And when people act as a team, they can never lose!
I encourage everyone to go lurk in another section. We can so easily get caught up in our particular vehicle section and think that this is all there is. But there is much more here than Fleetwoods and CTS's! BeelzeBob 06-26-05, 03:46 PM Definitely agreed.. We have some truely knowledgable people around here. Anyone who sticks around for than a few weeks knows exactly who they are. And the great thing is, new knowledgable people keep signing up. The rest of us simply love Cadillac and that gives us a lot of heart.. We have great personalities as well.. Moving forward is going to be very interesting indeed... ljklaiber 06-27-05, 09:17 PM Still enjoy the site, Just don't post as much as old days. Still drive the 95 SLS and the miles are over 149k and running strong. Gonna buy some new Michies soon. Other than rubber, she is a fine ride. DopeStar 156 06-28-05, 12:51 AM Wow! The FWD and RWD forums were combined?! That must have formed huge confusions. addison_ii 06-28-05, 02:07 AM Well I wasn't here in the beginning but I sure will stick around for the long ride ahead. This site/and the guys/gals here have taught me a lot. Hopefully I will be able to help others. I found this site by accident one night while searching for solutions to my problems(and I have many)with my SLS and I have been hooked ever since. It's like Internet Crack. Keep up the good work everyone. So when will we start paying the moderators, lol. Thanks for making this place so cool guys! I would have had many sleepless nights if it was not for the reassurance from you all in some instances. Thanks illumina 06-28-05, 04:40 PM I've been here for nearly a year and a half. I have yet to post anything meaningful :helpless:
Anyways, this site has cured boredom through thick and thin, and most people here are great. I still have my reservations about a few people, but the rest are just great folks who I would actually get along with in person...I would hope. DeVillish 06-28-05, 08:09 PM I love this place! If it wasnt for this site i would have had SOOO much trubble doing anything to my Coupe when i got it. If this site ever went away i wouldnt know what to do with myself. I've been around here for almost 3 years and it just keeps getting better and better. |
