I'm going to pick up some ps2 games tomorow and I was wondering if anyone can recommend anything good. Did anyone play grand turismo 4? I have the 3rd one and I like it alot. Is there any racing game thats out right now thats any better? I'm curious if they have any cadillacs in that game. (650 plus cars after all)

I love "Need for Speed Hot Pursuit" for PS2. It's my all time favorite racing game. You might also want to pick up NFS "High Stakes" for PS1 and play it on the PS2, as it was a VERY good game despite some grainy graphics and motion slowdown, but VERY fun. I got pretty bored with GT3 because I played the previous 2 for the PS1 and just lost interest, but they are still very good games.

I'd recommend GT4. I've had every version of Gran Turismo. It's great. There's only on Cadillac. The Cien. You should also try Enthusia. There is a Cadillac Seville STS on there. I'm not sure what other games have Cadillacs.

:disappoin ahh... I really wanted to be able to tear up the tracks in a 500hp deville. But I guess if its realistic then there would be no aftermarket for it just like in real life. Just one cadillac? Out of 650 cars? They could have put a cts in there. I don't even know what a cien is.

I have the best racing game ever: Mario Kart! Yes, that's right, I still play the gool ol' SNES and Mario Kart comes out every once in a while :yup:

I have GT3 and GT4 for my PS2 and I got bored of GT4 after three days. The biggest waste of $50 in my life. But I would recommend getting a X-Box and getting IMO the best and most realistic racing game for a console to date which is Forza Motorsport. Engine swaps with real engine codes ie., a 2JZ motor in a Mark III Supra and a lot more customization then GT could ever hope for, and when you customize your cars it makes the car worth more because its more rare then buying a car and keeping it stock and then also when you start the game you pick to start out in the US, Europe or Asia and if you buy a Corvette in the US its resale value is a lot better in Europe and Asia because they don't have them there. So there's a lot of cool things that GT just doesn't have. The only thing GT has over Forza is more cars, and slightly better graphics.

Forza Motor Sports on X-box rocks, Has the CTS-V & CTS-V race car!!! Mods you can S/C, Turbo. Or even add the C5R 427 crate motor in it. It turns it into a real tire smoker!

what's the best PC based racing game...am doing some research and i'm guessin NASCAR SimRacing (http://www.easports.com/games/nascarsimracing/home.jsp) is the best out there...can anyone dispute or support this?

Favorite racing game of all time... Top Gear on SNES. Laugh if you want but I have some great memories playing that one.

Yea, the only Caddy in GT4 has been the Cien. Though it has some oddballs squirrelled away in there. GT4 is awesome, and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit2 is a blast as well. I'm curious to see how this game Juiced is. Despite the obvious tuner look, it shows some interesting mix in cars. It's supposed to be a bit more realistic approach to an underground racing career than NFS Underground. I'll see, got it cheap off ebay.

There is a game that just recently came out called Forza Motorsport. That game has a Cadillac CTS-V. It is the best racing simulator that is yet to come out... or atleast thats what I think. I have it on XBOX and I love it. Hard to drive with all of the traction controls off. Very realistic.

Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition is a pretty nice racing game. I rented it to see how good it played and I will definitely purchase it soon. Although it may not satisfy a true racing fan.

I got that list from a website listing all the cars in gt4. Some cars don't show up in the dealers. I think you have to win them as prizes. Gt4 is great, I can't stop playing it. I like the difficulty level, because it seems that it's just hard enough without being impossible. The starting movie wasn't as good as in gt3 though.

Some of the cars you need to win but the list you saw might be from before the game came out. Because before they were saying they were going to have a Lincoln Mark VII LSC in it but that didn't happen as well as the Sentra SE-R Spec V

Lincoln is not in GT4. Before the game came out there were car listings for the game as to what cars would be in it but it wasn't official and one of the cars was a 1986 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC. But once the game came out it wasn't on there.

When you look through the car makers, they only have a couple cars each. I would guess about 4 or 5 on average. If you were to count all the cars, it doesnt come close to 650 that's why I think they have to be hiding some.

They are hiding some. But there's only one Cadillac, the Cien. I guarantee you.

Hey, I know everyone is saying GT4, which is sweet, and you must own a copy as there are plenty of Caddies in there but I found Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 or 3 (the newer one for PS2) absolutley rocks. I has American muscle, german refinement, and yes plenty of rice rockets to mod the hell out of. I especially like that fact that it has every gen Skyline in there!

I was upset when they didn't have more of the current models for Cadillac in GT4. Hopefully, they'll be in the next installment, with better choices to pick from.

What other cars do you have in the garage?

I have only played for a couple of days, but I have a 840hp 3000gt, 440hp subaru wrx, 420hp svt f150, a 50hp fiat panda and a couple of ones I won. My favorite one is a 440 charger making 660hp and 928lbs/ft And thats all without the nitrous. :coolgleam

The only thing I want is drag racing in this game, because even with upgrades the charger still handles like crap.
