Anyone know how to remove the tow/hitch assembly from an EXT? Factory-installed on 2005 but not needed. Just looks like a couple bolts but does anyone know if the connnector can be disconnected somewhere upstream?

No towing planned and don't care for the look.

You got an EXT, nice. Post some pics please. I think there is a connector somewhere to remove the wiring, but im not 100%

I am pretty sure the hitch has 4 or 6 bolts that you would have to remove, there was a connector on my Suburbans near the drivers side rear tire under the truck, if not wire tie the wire together, and then wire tie it off one of the bolt holes from the hitch.
