Which one should I have installed? 1gCtsV05 06-20-05, 01:43 PM i love my uuc shifter... do they look the same? compare the bushing... both stainless steel or just the uuc? go stainless if not.... Mutlu 06-20-05, 01:45 PM The Mallett one does not look stainless...so you say UUC then? The Mallett one is shorter in length though. trekster 06-20-05, 01:57 PM Uuc lasstss 06-20-05, 02:21 PM If you want a noisy handle use the Malett. If you want no noise, use the UUC. Also the malett isnt a short shifter, its a short handle! wildwhl 06-20-05, 02:25 PM I have the Mallett shifter...and I modified it. If you have the UUC - then go with the UUC. It is the better of the two, IMHO. StealthV 06-20-05, 02:27 PM Love my UUC, Lasstss bushings and Wienk foam mod - GM needs to copy this setup vertabim for future production runs. No noise, crisp snick, snick shifts. lasstss 06-20-05, 02:44 PM Love my UUC, Lasstss bushings and Wienk foam mod - GM needs to copy this setup vertabim for future production runs. Rick, you have the stuff to reprogram the PCM? My V didn't gain 60 rwhp on its own. :lildevil: lasstss 06-20-05, 05:01 PM My V didn't gain 60 rwhp on its own. :lildevil: Ok, where did they stuff the PCM? I havent looked for it and I know its in the manuals. (easier to ask):hmm: StealthV 06-20-05, 05:36 PM Under the front of the car; remove the splash guard under the radiator...I'll email you removal instructions in a few hours. c5racr1 06-20-05, 06:41 PM What is the foam mod? StealthV 06-20-05, 07:19 PM The foam mod per Wienk is to cut away the foam where the shift lever contacts it going into reverse. Taking it a step further, I put the foam in around the shifter and shifted through all the gears. Wherever there was contact between the foam and the shift lever, I cut it out with .........omg, a......... BOXCUTTER. Yes, I'm a terrorist. :shhh: :) thebigjimsho 06-20-05, 07:35 PM lastss, I know you posted before who to contact for the better bushings. For my laziness' sake, could you post that here again?
