Anyone have this problem? Why can't you ever get anyone to work on your car without them messing something up?
Just had new Goodyear F1 GS D3's put on my wheels. I took the wheels off at home and brought them in because I wanted to minimize the chance for the tire place to mess things up. They first wanted to throw away my TPS from each wheel, but I insisted we keep the sensors.
They only marred one wheel a little, but when I picked them up, they told me they had to throw away the original tire valves, but kept the stems with the pressure sensors. But they only had copper valves, and this will oxidize to the aluminum stems, so I need to go to cadillac to get the proper tire valves installed.
Has anyone ever heard of this? I think they are a bunch of jerks for throwing away one year old tire valves. Do I really have to replace the brass valves that are now inside the aluminum stems?
Just to top it all off, there is now a nice vibration in the steering wheel. And they charge me $50 more than the tire rack for the same tire. Nothing like crappy work for more money.
