The speaker setting always reverts to Normal when I turn the radio on and off. It doesn't matter if I set the audio to Drivers Seat, Spacious, etc, or if I hold the memory buttor or equalizer botton. It seems to me the radio should remember the setting. Actually I think it should remember the setting for each station. Am I doing somethning wrong? Or is that the way it is?

It saves the settings. I remember having trouble figuring this out, but once I did it was easy. It was a year ago though, and I don't remember without looking at the screen. Maybe if all else fails consult the manual (!).

You have to select your settings and STORE that particular station. And you have to do that for every station (individually.) You can actually set each station differently ("Talk", "Rear Seating", "Driver", etc.) as well as individual equalizer settings, base, trebel, etc.) It's actually pretty neat, but it takes a bit of time initially to set it up.

Yep, NIK is right. Took me months to figure it out, too, and I may have ended up posting a very similar note to yours! Each station must be individually set up (for driver 1 and driver 2, separately) and stored. then and only then will it remember.

Thanks for the replies, I'm glad it stores the setting. But how? Just holding the eq button till it beeps doesn't work. I wish there were an on-line owners manual, since I spend half my life on the computer anyway.

you need to turn on "personalization", can't remember where it is, maybe in the setup menu

The method is the following:
1. Set the radio to the desired station.
2. go to the eq menu and adjust the eq settings to what you want
3. go back to the radio screen and press and hold the button you want to program... when you program the station it retains the EQ settings AS WELL...
