I purchased an Autotap over a year ago and I'm going to hook it up while testing out the 96 Fleetwood I'm looking at. I was also wondering if anybody had used one to help solve the lack of instruments on the cluster? I think it will only work with the 96 Fleetwood as it is the only one with OBDII.

Info can still be read with OBDI using the proper ... wtf ever that thing is called that I can't think of, scanner or something. If you install a computer, like a laptop or build one for the car, you can use it along with a scanner to display just about any info you can think of on the screen. I don't think just the scanner on its own would be too effective.

The Autotap has a virtual dashboard function allowing you to mount a PDA to display RPM, Oil pressure, O2 readings, trans temp, along with several other things.
