There is 2 1997 sts engines for sale on EBAY. One going for less than 3000CDN, and the other for like 1500CDN. Also a tranny. Just thought i'd share this... I wonder how much it would cost for me to get one fit into the trunk...600hp AWD STS.......

"However, from the driver's seat the rear engine's weight and horsepower are far from transparent. The Twinstar weighs a hefty 4600 lb.—that's more than a Ford Explorer (http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive/new_cars_trucks/1269501.html?page=2&c=y#). Still, stab the gas and this Eldo takes off like a Corvette.

It's also more nimble in the corners than expected, with its all-wheel drive and 16-in. tires clawing at the road, but the Corvette comparison doesn't apply once the road turns. It's not that this Caddy is unbalanced, in fact, it has a decent 52/48 weight distribution—it's just that it is portly, and its shocks are tuned more for comfort than all-out cornering grip. Are there any big negatives to owning a Twinstar? Well, for one, fuel economy (http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive/new_cars_trucks/1269501.html?page=2&c=y#) isn't the best. But the car's biggest drawback is its lack of cargo room. Suitcases and groceries must go in the back seat. Is that too much of a sacrifice? Not in our book. Not when the payoff is a 600-hp, cozy Cadillac that can outrun a BMW M5."

Looks like my dog when she's gettin ready to squat down and take a leak.

Neat idea, but it appears as if someone had too much money and time on their hands.

Hell with that, get a 70-76 Eldo and stick another 500 in the back. I'd make one and call it Kilocube. Not much beats 1000 cubic inches or 16.4 liters.

That's the Mosler Twinstar. I think it would have looked better with the engine mounted where the back seat is. It would have made the car look much better. I think they said it was a trade off between the trunk, and back seats. WHen they asked owners which they would rather have, they all said back seat, so Mosler stuck the engine in the trunk. Being an eldo, I would have opted to keep the trunk, and just make it a two seater.
