Looks like the Japanese are going to offer GM a helping hand. Apparently they're worried the drastic slide in domestic sales will lead to tariffs on their imports. It's kind of sad that the Japanese have to limit their own sales to help Detroit.

I try not to find hidden motives in what the giver intends to be a gesture. That's very nice of them.

The sad thing is, some folks would still pay 20% more just for the Toyota badge. Thats what I call a solid reputation.

Even if they started to make crap, people STILL would based on a previous good experience. Same for any manufacturer I suppose, each has loyal repeat customers.
