: Video - BB X-Pipe and Headers at 90mph

06-07-05, 08:26 PM
I wonder what the V sounds like at 90mph with x-pipe and headers. If I loaded this right - he ya' go.

First time shooting video with my dig' camera and using my massive (not) 10mb webspace. I also have a clip in my garage of the headers. Whoa!

06-07-05, 08:29 PM
no workie, try again ;)

06-07-05, 08:29 PM
:hmm: asks for a username and password?

Blasted past a co-worked today at ~40mph as I shifted 1-2 and busted loose in 2nd...

When we got to work he commented, "...man that thing sounds F'in incredible...you scared the crap out of me!"

Gotta love Maggies, B&B's, headers and xpipes too :worship:

I'm completely clueless on this one. Not familiar with setting up webspace. Sorry fellas. Decent video though.

06-07-05, 08:38 PM
email it to Reed or DigitlPimp they'll host it for you

Go to your personal web space by signing on to cox.net. Go through whatever you have to so you get to the list of files on your ftp site. I believe it is something like "manage personal space." Click on the movie file. If it tries to open it in you browser, that address will be the address you want to link to. If it opens it in windows media or something, you will have to dig the address out of the program that's playing it.

I realize there is a better way to figure out the address, but I don't know what it is. I have also only used the space for hosting still pictures, so I am not exactly sure what will happen when you click on the movie. Good luck. I would love to hear it.

Please try now. I've been on this for an hour.

06-07-05, 08:58 PM
We need a password.

06-07-05, 09:05 PM
if you are using Internet Information Server you need to right click on My Computer and select Manage...

then go into the Applications and Services --> Internet Information Services and open that up to the FTP area. Now open up folders until you see where you have setup the share for this file. Now right click on it and there should be a place in there to set the security to allow anonymous (make sure you only do it for this folder or you may be allowing access to other shares you have setup that you may want to keep restricted)

if you are using something different you need to do the equivalent.

Two hours now. This is literally a nightmare. I've gone through 5 tutorials now and half of them don't even apply to my operating system. I'll try to email to Hylander. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

No FTP section under the section you described. Cox sux.

Two hours now. This is literally a nightmare. Cox sux.
Just think you could be 3/4's the way done with the header install by now.. Less cuts on this though!!!

06-07-05, 09:49 PM
Here's the REAL CVP33 video

06-07-05, 09:51 PM
I got audio only.
edit: the second one works

06-07-05, 09:54 PM
Another from CVP33

06-07-05, 10:00 PM
CVP33, That sure does look and sound very nice, love the gear grabbing too..
It kinda reminds me of the Cadillac commercial that I saw during the SuperBowl...:worship: :burn:

06-07-05, 10:05 PM
CVP33 - wow, your car does sound very mean, I like it. :worship: Nice job and thanks for the vids!!!

06-07-05, 10:05 PM
If you listen carefully on the first one you can hear 1-2, 2-3 rips. The headers have definitely lengthened the traction breaks on shifts. It sounds positively evil at speed now.

drop this text (below) into a notepad file saved as "index.html" and place it in your ftp directory. we'll be able to access you via

Josh (fellow Cox hater)

Sorry Josh I'm clueless. I know just enough to be dangerous. The weird part is my first link works fine for me and all the computers in the house which are logged in via a wireless hub. Go figure. I've spent too much time trying to get this working tonight. Thanks to Hylander for saving the day!

06-07-05, 10:16 PM
Definately sounded nasty. Can you get an inside clip?

06-07-05, 10:26 PM
Hmmmmm, look what else I found on my puter . . .

www.fbodylinks.com/HDMLNIUM.mpg (http://www.fbodylinks.com/HDMLNIUM.mpg)

FYI it's Bill (HDMLNIUM). AFAIK, the trucks run a best of 10.860 at 123.7 mph.

06-07-05, 10:37 PM

It has actually ran a best of 10.21 at over 134 last fall. I sold it to JDM last summer and Jim then turned her up a little bit more. She dynoed at like 823 hp. and 1004 torque at the rear wheels or something real close to that. I do miss that truck and all of the great people..:coolgleam
I know this isn't a Lightning site and most guys here I am sure don't care for them..... But since you posted a video why not a couple more... haha
My best pass on the 22" wheels, my goal was 11's on the 22's but after 3 passes at 12.0 it was enough.. Time for slicks after that.. lol
Now here is my 10.88 pass at 125 after a little motor work, and this was before the nitrous was turned on.. The 10.21 pass JDM did with it last fall was with a 100 shot..
Enjoy, and for the guys that don't like Ford trucks, don't watch....:histeric:
It doesn't look like I pasted the videos right but here is the link to them, the one on the top right is with the 22's and the bottom right is with slicks.

06-08-05, 08:50 AM
That sounded nice. Hey that lightning is awesome. I dont care if you dont like fords or trucks, you have to give credit where credit is due. 800hp 1000tq, just a little respectable wouldnt you think.http://cadillacforums.com/forums/images/smilies/evilsmile.gif
