Not a glamorous performance issue, but an important one nonetheless. I have a third child on the way soon. How do I get 3 seats across the back? It is a little tight. are there special narrow car seats? Help, before my wife trades in for a minivan.
No way you will fit 3 of those in the back, ive got 2 as well.
Two is okay; three is impossible. In my car the LATCH hooks will only fit in one way, too.
Are any of your kids old enough or big enough for a booster seat? Then you might be in business.
ya i have one and took it to the state police to check it over.

Gotta go booster seat in one or two positions (3 kids means your oldest is likely 3 years old - unless you have twins?) My 3 year old uses a booster seat. Beyond that, it could be done, but it will be tough.
Good luck...and no minivans!
Just put the bad one that day in the trunk.
Think outside the box sometimes.

would be like sticking an angry badger in my trunk--better to have them strapped down--and I don't think the cargo net would hold....

On car pool day I put two 4 1/2 year olds and a 2 1/2 year old in my V. I use two regular car seats on each side and a booster in the center, the kids don't mind at all.

My $.02 -- good luck. The main reason I bought the V this year vs. the C6 convertible was we had twins last year. I wanted the performance, but didn't want to leave the family at home 100% of the time. It's the coolest double-dad car out there (especially with the B&B exhaust).
When the kids were both in rear-facing cradle seats (infant carriers), they both fit but the drive was uncomfortable. Once the kids moved to the next size up (non-cradle) but still have to face rearward, there is NO way I can drive the car with both kids in it. Hence, we take the SRX everywhere the family travels. But there is bright spot on the horizon at the end of this month -- they hit 1 year old AND 20 lbs., they can face forward. That'll be my birthday present to them -- we'll go to breakfast in the V!
And good luck getting three next to each other... Can't imagine it'll be easy (if it works at all).
That recaro is the tits. I dont see how its possible to fit 3 seats in without risking the safety of the kids.
One of the first times I had my son in my back seat (he's 3), he managed to impregnate the seatbelt strap with chewing gum (I actuall caught him gnawing on the belt with the big wad in his mouth).
After a long talk, he's pretty good in my car now. It's didn't take too much, I just had to get through to him that if he messes up my car, he won't be able to ride in it, which he just LOVES. I must say i never get tired of him saying 'Daddy, go big go' or 'ewww, ewww, pass dat guy....good job Daddy.'
Hey kids can be frustrating, but so funny too.

P.S. I almost fell out of my seat at the angry badger reference. My older son acts like that on occasion.
My kids are actually pretty good in the car. My youngest girl (the badger) says weeeeeeee....whooooaaaaa when I punch it to get around a truck on Rte 50.
My oldest used to always ask to do "smokey burnouts" when I had my 95 Impala and I was happy to oblige. She has a problem fulfilling her tire wasting wish in this car (due to wheel hop), but she has become a fan of the finer points of the car like yelling at the "navigation lady."
