Hi there I am new here and looked around before posting. I have a 1997 SLS that is coming up on its 75,000 check. I see all they do is change the oil and rotate the tires? Is there anything else they do? It seems to use more gas than when I got it with 64,000 miles and the wife says it feels a lil rough now. I havent noticed it though because I dont drive it much. Thanks for any help you all can come up with

Belt inspection, possibly a timing tweak, possibly fuel system treatment, possibly some filters.

Hello
My 1998 Eldorado plug wires went bad at 75,000 miles. You might check those beneath your NorthStar motor bonnet. Plus the bolts holding the injector feed were loose. They're found under there too.
Good Luck,

Plugs and wires at 75k sounds about rite. That 100k thing they used to talk about isnt always true.
Re: roughness and milage, check the FPR. Do a search for FPR or fuel pressure regulator. Lots of info on it and very easy to do.

FPR covered by Cadillac. Or fuel rail.
I think when the fuel rail gets replaced under the recall, the FPR get replaced with it.
