My 97 Eldorado have had to much sunshine/heat on the dash in the past, so the defrostor grille will not stay in place any more. As I have seen this on several Eldorado's , some of You might have tried to repair / fix it. The problem is that the skin is separating from the cover itself. I checked that a new one is available for just over $400 from GM, so I would prefere to fix it. Is it available for less than US$ 400 from somewhere else ?

the only thing i can say is that my '01 etc's dashboard was a little warped and it was replaced under warrenty..if you could find a used one then that could be a way to go..
