We just got back from a weekend trip and now my transmission is slipping. It will work fine sometimes but most of the time now it either will not shift into the higher gear or if it does it almost immediately down shifts and the check engine light comes on. It is also slipping into neutral, sometimes it comes bock out into a lower gear after several seconds other times I put it in neutral and then back into drive and that works. The codes it is giving me are 094 and 039 but I think one is for the torque converter and the other is the sensor. And I’ve been getting the torque code on and off for a while now but the car drove just fine. The car has 115,000 miles but I did have the 100,000 tune up done at about 93,000 when I bought it 3 years ago. So how bad does it sound? Major fix or time for a new car?
