About a week ago my car all of a sudden started idling fast unless I played around with the gas pedal quite a bit, then it would go back down; but, after giving it gas again it would go back up. Also, I noticed if I was coasting at highway speeds(55-70) and I played around with the pedal it would go down but then it would start idling slow, then fast, then slow(erratic). Is this a sensor? if so, which one? What could this be, because gas prices are high and I don't have money to replace the tranny?
Start by cleaning the TB and see if that helps. If that doesn't help maybe the IAC valve.

Mine sorta does that too when I start it. I turn the key and it turn on but revs really high. Like if it's unually at 1k...it sounds like it's over 2k. Then I rev it a few times and it goes back down. The check enging light comes on for a minute or so then goes off. Throttle body makes sense...
The idle speed is learned and stored in the pcm. If the key was turned off and the battery disconnected in less than 30 seconds the idle speed in the pcm's memory is lost, It needs to relearn it.
I am actually online right now to find the relearn procedure myself, I know it is posted here in a older thread.

I cleaned the TB less than 3000 miles ago. Would it be clogged again this quick? (car is not at the house at the moment so I can't check it)
After I drive mine for a couple of hours the check engine light will come on.
The only current code I get is e030 which has something to do with the idle speed.
when I slow down or stop the idle is normal.
