Are there any tricks or tips in replacing a fuel pump in a 1996 Sedan DeVille. I have cold start problems, and I was advised to replace my fuel pump. I already replaced the fuel fuse, and I am still having the problem. I can hear the pump start when I turn on the key, put I believe it is going out.

Does anyone have advise for me, I don't know much about this stuff.

The pump will shut off after 3 seconds if the engine is not cranked. What you are hearing (or not hearing) may be normal. Put a fuel pressure guage on it and check the fuel pressure before going through all that work and expense on "advice".
