Hello folks,

This is my first post, been lurking for quite a while and trying to learn as much as possible about Cadillac's, I really want a 2005 Deville but I really can't afford to pay sticker for one of these cars, a local Cadillac dealer has a few "demos" available all with less than 3000 miles on them. I have several questions that come to mind, do dealers sell the demos at the same time each year?? I also noticed that the interest rate on the Deville's from GMAC is 6.25 which is quite high and I know I could get better from my local credit union. I wonder if they will be lowering the rate later this year when they are trying to clear the decks for all the 2006's?? I hope someone can share their experience with me, thanks in advance!! Mike

I'd say that you could probably get a good '05 later this year since the '06 models are a complete redesign of the Deville. The dealers will probably be anxious to get rid of the old design and they will probably offer tons of GM rebates, the "Hot Button" rebate, and more. So just give it a few months and see...

I beleive the salesmen will turn in the demo when it gets near 3K or sell it to whoever shows interest in it. Demo's are open season all years long.

Thanks for the info guys, it appears that I will be watching the local dealers for demo's later in the year when the 06's are coming in strong and waiting for the incentives to kick in, it's just going to be tough waiting but being patience should pay off well:-)

id wait till they clear em out this fall but with that comes the fact that you dont have it over the summer and also the 05 selection may become limited if you want something particular. dealers are pretty picky about who drives demos like this usually so dont let that scare you

I understand what your saying, I would really like a DHS but would be happy with a base model with the comfort and convenience package and some chrome wheels. Actually I like the grill on the base model and the Cadillac crest hood emblem more so than the crest in the grill of the DHS and DTS.

It will be tough driving my work truck till the fall but I have been wanting to buy a Cadillac for many years so a few more months is not going to kill me.

Thanks for all your input.

Mike
