ok...so i'm on my stepdads account, the '99 sts is his, i have benefited by recieving his '94 Deville (northstar v8:thumbsup: ), a wonderful vehicle, may i add! She's got close to 133,000 on her....and today i've encountered a problem i did not expect.

First off, nothing in the dash is indicating a problem.

Yesterday i had exited my car and noticed a problem-smoke coming out the left side of the grille. Well i pop the hood, and the source of the smoke seemed to be from the pullies. Today me and my neighbor checked it out a second time and we had come to the conclusion that it was the AC clutch, it had locked up and caused a sufficient amount of friction-so he disconected the AC for me. I proceeded to take her for a ride later on today, about 5 miles, smooth sailing, no problems no smoke, i'm excited
i turn off the car, and turn it back on, about 3 minutes in between (seems irrevelant) and the car is in a minor vibration when parked, barely noticeable.... Well, when i get home, i pop the hood and guess what, the smell of rubber is there, luckily no smoke this time.....any clue to this problem, or any similar occurences, all responses are appreciated, especially if there quick

Check the idler pulleys and also the belt and idler pulley for the waterpump belt.
