Is there a preference in Dyno's. A new tuner shop opened in my town and they have a Mustagn Dyno. I think it is a brand new one, all they keep on talking about is how they can do 1/4 mile runs on their machine. I need your opinions on which machine I should look to try and hook my car up with? These guys web site is at: speedfreaksinc.net, check them out and let me know what you think.

In no particular order:

Running a dyno and doing all the corrections, watching temperatures and conditions needs an experience operator

Make sure they have a HUGE fan (or more)

The brand of dyno is less critical that consistency (BTW, Mustangs are very good)

Do not worry to much about your HP numbers compared to another car on another dyno

Stay with the same dyno place and monitor your HP /TQ numbers over time

Avoid switching from one dyno place to another, as results are not comparable

A dyno place with adjacent shop helps as they can do necessary modifications easily

Us a wide–band oxygen sensor for all runs

Ask for the results on disk -easier to share with us :)

I am sure I forgot something but its too early in the morning
