eh, couldn't think of a good title...

I was going to post pictures yesterday (since I actually got it back yesterday) but then I had the idea... why post pics with boring captions... when I can do a little movie!

So, 10.5 minutes and 33mb later, I made a movie :) you really gotta have broadband for this one!

Check it out:

oh, and make sure the speakers are on :)

Its great to have the car back, now I am just fixing some problems it has, most of them I bought it with (never got around to it) or they happened a long time ago... some are bad others are not, but I have got alot of stuff fixed the last 2 days.

Hope everyone enjoys the movie :)

I can't believe I watched the whole thing! The final 1 minute made it all worth the time ! Still like the Slate Coupe the best.

THere's an Olds exactly like yours down the road from me for sale. 's a nice car, I'd totally go for it if I didn't already have my Malibu.

The Olds is looking pretty good now. I think that's the longest video I've ever watched that didn't actually have any video in it. I should make one about the Corsica de la Muerte and the hood scoops of doom.

LOL, nice little "evolution" of progress there. I guess I feel the same way about the Phoenix but I got so sick and tired of sanding, priming and painting EVERY YEAR from 1988 to present! Now the ex-fiance still loves it and still expects me to keep it up. I probably might, just to avoid seeing it get worse. That, and I NEVER let let rust get the better of it even through 24 winters.

What's this thing call rust? sorry but the only way a car rust out down here if it has been sitting in the same place for about 30+ years. My friend's grand dad has a 82 Imperial that has been in their feild for 10+ years and still "looks" like someone is still driving it. Only reson why he stop driving it is because the computer went out like 4 times on him.

How fast are you actually going on that run would you say? The speedo looks like it's pegged at 93 or so. The Corsica de la Muerte is powered by the 1994 3100 (160hp, 185ft.lbs.) and 4 speed auto so it would be real hard for that lil 2.8 to keep up. It runs a 17.65 1/4 up here which would be around 15.9 or 16.0 at sea level. BUT it's limited to 115 or so (has the gauge cluster with the 120 speedo but no tach.)

It still pulls pretty hard at 115 so if it weren't limited I'd say it would do 130. Then if we stuck the hood scoops on there, they'd catch and ram so much air it could very well lift off the ground.

Hopefully in a few days I'll have a video like yours or at least a couple pics of testing the top speed of his 91 Buick Park Ave and I'll put some premium gas in the ETC and see if I can hit 153 again.

What software did you use to create the slideshow deal, Rick? It's very well put together, if you don't mind me saying...

I have no ideal  The thing hit the dash and was still pulling. To bad he could not find another 3.1mip in good shape. But he got that 2.8 and tranny for the low-low. low-low as in free. :)
