Has anyone tried any of these fix a blown head gasket miracle cure products? I.m looking at a 1999 deville with 120,000 miles that overheats but with no typical signs of a blown head gasket. Just want to know if these hawked fixes work in case that is what is wrong with this vehicle. Thanks for all responses.

Read the engine, cooling system, and gauge stickys above this post, then search the Northstar and Deville forums for years of discussion on this constantly recurring subject.

Diagnose the problem before resorting to a temporary snake oil fix - head gasket failure is but one of quite a few Northstar "overheating" problems.

Yes.

Any amount of searching will tell you that NONE of them will work, they are very likely to cause blockages, and they will leave a very difficult-impossible to clean mess behind in the coolant passages and cooling system that will have to be cleaned during proper repair.

If the problem was JUST the gaskets themselves, snake oil MAY provide a temporary seal (along with all the above problems). But the problem with the Northstar is pulled head bolt hole threads in the block. You cannot seal an ever moving, ever widening breach.

They dont work, especially on a Northstar. Unless it can miraculously re-thread the holes in the block that the head bolts go into..

There goes another '99. :nono:

The question has been asked a million times and the answer is always the same. DO NOT waste your money on that snake oil.
