Is it alright to put those superwhite bulbs in the Sevilles and Eldos? I don't want to burn out my wiring.

MARKVIII 10-27-03, 09:03 AM yes i have them in my 01' etc and they are great..you will need three sets...regular, brites and fog lights... Yaemish 10-27-03, 09:39 AM What brand did you buy? I heard that the APC ones were good. I am going to need, high, low, and fog right? Elvis 10-27-03, 10:13 AM WHOA! That'll wake you up! AKPsiMC03 10-27-03, 10:50 AM WHOA! That'll wake you up! i was falling alseep at my desk till i read that Jetillac 10-27-03, 04:46 PM I was looking at getting the Sylvania's but if the APC's are better.... Also, check out the Phillips HiVisibility. I heard you can get them at K-Mart when they are available. Andrew60SP 10-27-03, 05:09 PM I'm running Sylvania Silverstars, and the light is very white and a bit brighter. Burnt wiring wont happen if you run the stock wattage. That doesn't neccesarily mean that higher wattage will burn your wiring though.. Katshot 10-27-03, 09:03 PM I have 1 comment and that is Sylvania Silver Stars are THE best choice. Yaemish 10-27-03, 09:55 PM they change my daytime running lights too? Mikethegreeat 10-27-03, 11:56 PM i have silver stars myself, (sts) looks great, but i would prefer the light bluish look of the APC bulbs... cheaper too Yaemish 10-30-03, 09:44 PM I too like the blue look of the APCs, what wattage should I buy? Mikethegreeat 10-30-03, 10:28 PM I too like the blue look of the APCs, what wattage should I buy? for my cadillac i use 9006, its a 94 STS, i dont know about the newer ones tho??? :banghead2 Yaemish 10-30-03, 11:13 PM is it the same for the fog lights? Yaemish 10-31-03, 08:56 PM I just put some xenons in and they don't really provide much light. They are 55 watt, is that too low a wattage? bob2231 10-31-03, 09:29 PM I just put some xenons in and they don't really provide much light. They are 55 watt, is that too low a wattage? I'm pretty sire 55w is standard for the low beams. Yaemish 11-01-03, 02:09 AM I mean, I can't see crap with these things on. What wattages does everyone else have? Andrew60SP 11-01-03, 05:16 AM Do they have a blue tint? IIRC, blue lights are the worst for night-time visibility, something to do with short wavelengths dispersing. You can modify the 9005 bulbs to fit the low-beam. I'm not sure if it'll blind oncoming traffic though. http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Upgrade/More_light.htm Yaemish 11-02-03, 07:59 PM Will that hurt anything? Blinding oncomming traffic? Isn't my Caddy looking good more important than the safty of others? Andrew60SP 11-03-03, 12:49 AM Will that hurt anything? Blinding oncomming traffic? Isn't my Caddy looking good more important than the safty of others? The reason I'm unsure of its blinding effect is because I'm not sure if it is the bulb or the housing that aims the highbeams higher. onecad 11-03-03, 04:54 PM If you are looking for quality get piaa lights...9006 for low beam and 9005 for high beam...this goes for most cars. Piaa are mostly d.o.t. approved. The catera is h7 for both low and high beam. If you want brighter applications apc lights, and eurolights can be bought at higher wattage. | |
