Congratulations. Just enjoy it and drive it. I have had mine since November and have had no issues to deal with. Remember that on this forum you will get more negatives than positives. Use the forum for future information if something does develop but keep an open mind regarding your vehicle. There are several things that could be improved however it is a terrific automobile. If you listen to everything you read here you could develop a need for Prozac due to paranoia and depression over purchasing the car. Just drive it and see what happens. Not every car produced has "issues". Good Luck!

I've had mine for a couple of months and still feel like a little kid on Christmas morning when I get behind the wheel. BY FAR the best car I have ever owned! Just enjoy it ... :bouncy:

:welcome: :welcome: Congrats, my wife and I purchased it as a joint XMAS gift, had it since Jan 3. No problems have cropped up, we can't enjoy it more. As stated about this forum take everything with a grain of salt some of us just can't enjoy life without complaining.
The only main concern that I think everyone has is that the Onstar system is not digital from the facotry. I have had no major problems only fit and finish. The car is great and hate leaving it at the dealer. I would purchase it all over again if I had to.

I agree, this is as nice a car as you will find. A joy to drive and pleasure to own. I had one minor problem with a vent valve in the gas tank, dealer provided a loaner and fixed it in one day.
The only true concerns that I have had was fit and finish. My drivers door was not aligned from the factory. Took it to the Caddy story. All they did was damage the belt molding and move the striker. It did nothing and they delievered it that way. I could not believe it. I took it to one of my other stores. Namely Frank Parra Chevy and had there trim tech fix it for me. Did a hell of a job. Actually had to bend the doors, adjust the striker and slide the hings foward a bit to close the gaps.
Only other concern I had and which all of them have if you check for it. Is that the lumbar hits the plastice filler panel on the back of the seat. I told the dealership I wanted it corrected, they looked at me like how. So what we did was have the trimmer pull the seat down and glued a Jute panel to the back of the filler panel. Cancelled the noise right out. At first I tought i broke the seat, but both side made the noise.
I love the car no doubt about it.
Picked up my STS-4 in November and it is by far the best car I have ever owned. Came out of driving BMW's for the past 8 years and this STS is so much better then the Bimmer's. I will also say that the overall GM customer service experience is far superior to BMW .
Enjoy !!!
PS- No problems. :coolgleam
i can't wait to replace my 1998 sts with the new one , but the small glove box and rear seats clearance are really annoying . another thing is to have the HUD & ACC i have to wait 3 months to have it :rant2: . Do you think it is better to wait till 2006 model ( i heard they will shorten the back seat & change the glove box ) or should i go for 2005 without HUD right now . Another thing , any comments regarding the cashmir interior with Light paltinum exterior combination ?:hide:
