Does anyone know if there is a way to bring up that nice big analog clock that the nav panel displays when the radio is off - while the radio is on? The little tiny clock in the upper right corner of the nav panel is too difficult to see, and defeats the heads up and voice recognition benefits.

Don't think it can be done...

Its the same way on my Escalade wish i could do that on there too. Its so easy to read when the unit is off but very hard when the unit is on.

Anyone figured a way to have the nice big analog clock w/Cadillac emblem display while the radio is on?

No, I don't know how to show the analog clock. I sure wish they drew hands on that clock rather than printing the time digitally in the center. That was an odd (lazy) design choice.
I did notice that at some point a hardware or software upgrade changed the upper-right corner clock. It used to take space to show me "AM" or "PM." Now it just shows the 12-hour clock and uses a larger font. If you have the older version, and a friendly dealer, maybe they can help you out.

All you old senior citizens need to make a trip to Big Lots or Walmart and buy a few LARGE LETTER CLOCKS. (Get one or two for me too.)

I would like GM to put the song that is playing in XM across the top while in Nav. mode along with a tad larger clock numbers.

1. Who has an analog clock on the Nav screen? Is that a 2007 feature? I have a 2006 and my Nav screen shows a clock face design with a digital clock in the center, but no moving clock hands. I would much prefer moving clock hands programmed into the unit. If Cadillac can't or won't do that, then a navigation-related design would be better. Perhaps a (analog) compass face?
2. Digital clocks are cheap. They properly belong in vehicles from the third world. Digital compasses are largely pointless and properly belong in vehicles from Mars.
3. Who parks their coats in wire hangars? Wouldn't it be tricky keeping rain out of a wire hangar? In fact, who has seen a wire hangar?
4. What's the alternative to wire hangers? Has someone invented digital coat hangers? They probably would be more versatile than analog (wire) hangers. We could take are cars back to our dealers for hanger reconfiguration via software updates. But what happens when RAP (Reserve Accessory Power) runs out? Do the digital hangers go "poof!" allowing all the clothes to drop to the floor? Can one buy backup power for digital hangers? Will they be part of the Luxury Performance Package in 2009?
5. I hope not: digital hangers are cheap. They properly belong in vehicles from the third world.
