I purchased a 2005 STS Cadillac in white diamond and the dealer is offering to pin stripe the car for free. Does anyone have pin stripping on their STS and any suggestions regarding color. Thanks

I buy my new STS this or next month and I sure put a pin stripe on. Still don`t know what color I take because the first cars here in germany are coming in.

With white diamant - depends on the interior - if Ebony I would prfer a black pin stripe.........with Cashmere interior I would take gold.

A black pin-strip on a White car. Would seem a little much. You do not want to break up the cars lines you just want to define them. Make a light statement. Gold would be nice, it is a Pearl color though. I bet like a peach or even a flat white would look nice. GM offers a pin-strip with the Cadillac emblem in it.

My White Diamond STS was striped after I picked it up. I used the same guy that did my last 4 cars. He did a 3 stripe down the sides: two thin gold stripes on the outside and a wine colored thicker stripe in the center. He also did a thin gold stripe on each side of the hood next to the creases, gold stripes on the side mirrors, and a nice scroll-thing under the Caddy emblem on the rear deck lid. The side stripes taper to points and look great. He charged me $350 and it took him about an hour for the free-hand work. SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS.

How does he get the lines soooo straight with no guidlines?

I also ordered a mat set from US Speed (The link on the left side of this page) in cashmere with the gold Caddy emblem as pictured in their ad. The rear mats fit well. The front mats do not fit perfectly in my AWD STS. They are re-cutting them and will send me new mats in 3 weeks. One word of caution - I ordered the 5 piece set which includes a trunk mat. This mat also came in cashmere which looks kinda funny in a black trunk. Their ad is a little misleading in that it shows the sample set in black. I assumed (I know never assume) that the trunk mat would come in black to match the trunk. I called and they were not willing to send me a black trunk liner.

To get an idea of what the pin striping will look like on the white diamond, here are some pics of my 03 CTS with pin striping. I purchased this vehicle used, and had no option to put it on, and unfortunately its painted on, so I cant take it off. But I guess that its starting to grow on me. Its also easier to distinguish in a parking lot if I park near another white diamond CTS.

Looks nice on the White Diamond. I have Black Raven with Cashmere and prefer the all black look. You can get some really high quality mats including trunk liner and mats from Car Motorsports (on the left side of this thread). I first bought them for my 03 Escalade. Quality is top of the line and a lifetime guarantee. Bought them for the STS and they fit and look wonderful. Take a look at their website and you may see my pictures. I sent them to them after I got the mats for both the Escalade and the STS. Great stuff and great to deal with. I also purchased a hood insulator that has the logo on it and it really sets off the car with the hood open.
