take a look at ebay and give in Cadillac STS 2005 you`ll see there a new set of the 9 spoke chrome wheels with 255/45 18 tires. Thats factory wheels and fit just right away. You are right, the 18 inch wheels look a lot better than the 17s.

$2800 is a little steep. Looking for a deal. I will find it. Was at the Caddy store today, they had a full line of Cadillac brand wheels. Some where pretty nice.
