Hello All,
I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like the little situation I'm having now with my 98 STS. I recently had my engine swapped out (don't ask) with one from a '99 STS by an independent mechanic friend of mine. Caddy dealer wanted 5K to install a used one with a 6 month warranty. No thanks. Anyway, the analog gauges in the cluster are "advanced" and don't rest on the little pegs when the car is turned off. The speedo sits 5 mph ahead of actual and the tach is advanced the same amount. It's almost like the needles spun on the shaft or something. I didn't think the controls for the needles had stops in them which is why the pegs on the cluster are there in the first place. The digital speedo portion works fine. Does it just need to be recalibrated with the GM scan tool? If anyone out there can help me out on this I'd appreciate it. Logan? I tried disconnecting the negative battery cable overnight to no avail. Thanks Much!!
