Hi guys. I purchased a 1997 D'Elegance a couple of weeks ago. I do not like the combo of the gold/chrome. The grill is nice an shinny crome , an I'm thinking of a way to remove the "gold plaiting" on the hood emblem, body trim etc. Is there any agent, solvent etc that will remove the "gold plating" and return it to its base, which i assume is a crome or aloy. What are my options? Thanks in advance

If the gold and chrome pieces are seperate, you might have better luck taking the gold off and selling it if you can find a chrome replacement at a junkyard.

I will trade you my non-gold emblems and trim from my '99 Deville ;)

Sounds Good. Is the trim the same? Is the removal easy? Thnaks
