My stepdad's "new" GT. 1995, 19,500 miles, mint interior, mint exterior. Absolutely sick. Putting the K&N in tomorrow.

Hmm its a 5.0 too. I think that was the last year before they went to the 4.6.

Nice car though, Ive always had a place in my heart for Mustangs. Only 19.5k miles!!

I've seen a couple of these Roush stangs cruising around town and they're pretty sweet. I'm still waiting on the SVT Cobra to arrive.:D

Roush is garbage. All show, no go.

I'm not sure anybody takes Roush or Saleen Mustangs seriously as performance cars (or any Mustang for that matter). Why spend 20k over stock, when the SVT will blow the doors of them right out of the box? I like the looks of the Roush stang because it looks more like the old fastbacks.

SVT's and Cobra's rip balls.

The Saleens will perhaps be collectable in the future, or instantly. I was checking out that orange 2004 Saleen that we have at our dealership today. They reduced it from $88 to $42,000!! It's one of 19 supposedly allowed to Canada and THAT"S what makes them desireable. The 380 hp doesn't hurt either. ;)

RB, does this mean he sold the S2000?? I hope so. ;) :hide: I think those '95's were rated at 205 hp and a more realistic "net" rating than what they used a few years previous when they claimed 225 hp and 300 lbs. ft. of torque.

Nope still has teh S2k. He refuses to let it go. He picked this gem up for 8 grand. Well worth the money. Still has all the motorcraft parts, battery, etc, and it has less miles than your caddy. Rated at 193. We got teh FIPK kit and we are installing it tomorrow.

The s2000 is still a fast car that can keep up with the CTS-V so dont shoot your mouth off Ralphie.

I've NEVER heard of a Mustang GT rated at 193???!!! I'm pretty sure by 1995 they were above 200 but not on the minus side.

Regarding "shooting my mouth" you need to lighten up a little. I'm no Honda fan but I never insulted him or his car by joking I hope he sold it! That's why I used the "hiding" smilie OK! If I insult Honda, YOU WILL know it!

215 hp....for 1995...

http://www.internetautoguide.com/reviews/45-int/sports-cars/ford/mustang/1995/

"Although the Mustang offers 215 hp in its high-end GT model, the General Motors cars up the ante considerably with a healthy 275 hp apiece in their high-performance versions, the Camaro Z28 and Firebird Trans Am. (Later this year, Ford will offer a special limited-edition Mustang Cobra that will close the power gap. However, buyers will have to pay a premium for the Cobra and there won't be many of them thanks to the limited production.)"

Not with that car you won't. You'll have to pull out the S2K to beat the ETC as is and the 999 when I get my nitrous kit installed.

RBraczyk
05-21-05, 05:00 PM
AHAHAHAAH. your funny. The 999 is faster than a lamborghini gallardo, your etc is nothin

davesdeville
05-21-05, 05:08 PM
I said to BEAT the ETC w/nitrous you'd have to break out the 999, 'cause the 5.0 won't cut it and the S2K (although it would be closer) won't either.

Oh yeah, I have a technique for beating motorcycles while racing in my car. It's called cranking the wheel in their direction and flooring it just before they do. Works every time. :D

Nice!

Im still debating whether or not you should keep that 5.0 HO decal stuff on the bottom, on the one hand keeping it lets everyone know you have a classic engined Mustang, on the other hand, taking it off would make the appearance much cleaner (with those modern rims) and in a way make it a sleeper (even though I assume the bumper still has the GT inscription on it).

Either way, If you get a chance to put the clear lens Cobra headlamps and a xenon kit in it like we talked about, it will look even better.

Nice find, and good luck with it.

Oh no, a riced out Mustang?!!! Just kidding. As long as they can put it back to original because with mileage like that you preserve it for the next owner. ;)

What's the deal on those rims RB?? Did you guys get them used or something? Either way, I like them over the original style.

Brand new with BF Goodrich dual water channel tires. Handles better than the S2K

Why would clear headlamps and Xenon lights rice it out? I think you can do something like that with alot of class. Its probably one of the few exterior upgrades I would do.

There ARE ricey headlamp kits for Mustangs, but thats why I said to specifically get the ones designed for the Cobra OEM.

I guess I was thinking more of taillights. I thought you meant them also in your thread. On those Rice threads any car seems to be immediately accused of being Riced if they have them. At the Mustang dealership they had a new one with the smoked or blacked out headlight covers. How stupid is that?? What are they going to do at dusk, pull over and take them off!

But I don't know why you would bother doing the headlights on this car.

lol... i know alot of people have gotten pulled over with those headlight covers, they make them for the tail-lights too. Instant REDUCED visibility...

I would do the headlights cause I think it gives the car an edge over the rest of them on the street. I dont think headlights get enough attention these days, half the ads for 740's I read on Autotrader are missing headlight info completely and it pisses me off cause Xenon lights are an option I HAVE to have... grr.. :banghead:

Guess im kind of headlamp anal.

LOL!! I notice in your siggy for your truck you planned on installing a kit for Xenon, did you ever get around to doing it? How much would it cost RB's Dad to put those headlights (roughly) on that Mustang? Also, aren't Xenon VERY expensive to replace?? I remember some years back our BMW dealership had a Z8 roped off in the showroom, and I asked about the Xenon because I knew nothing about them back then. The salesman said they were something like $1500 to replace!!!!! :disappoin EACH!!

I just don't think it's really worth it unless they lasted the LIFE of the vehicle, but then who keeps a vehicle that long nowadays anyway? (I know you don't :p ) For the price of a good quality halogen bulb, they last a long time and are far more practical despite giving up some improved visability.....

I think all cars could come from the factory with LED taillights, especially if they are better and last longer, but then I think of the survival of autoparts manufacturers, etc.

Retrofit kits run about 250.00 for a GOOD quality set, and they should last the life of the vehicle. Its not all about looks either, they actually do provide a much better night-time viewing area.

The FACTORY installed Xenon lights are usually about 5-700.00 extra on the option sheet, but if you try to buy the factory housings and equipment from THE DEALER, yea the replacements run about 7-1500.00 a side depending on what car and what manufacturer.
