Did a quick search on the forums here and really couldn't find an exact definition of what constitutes a proper "powershift"...

Is this shifting without the clutch, or not letting off the skinny pedal when shifting, or a combination of both perhaps?

Clutchless Shifting is shifting without using the Clutch. Powershifiting is not lifting your foot off the gas.

East coast its also called 'Bang' shifting/speed shifting. Basically its the 'almost' simultaneous gear change and clutch out while planting the gas! Hard on the drivetrain but bitchin fun to do! :D Also scares the crap out of the women...

I believe POWERSHIFT = FULL GAS (No Clutch)- when your ready to shift JAM it into the next gear.

Now I never tried this on the cts-v but on the mustang I would have to lightly let off a little gas to jam it in the next gear with no little clunk.

I think Speedshifting = FULL GAS (POP CLUTCH) dont let off gas, pop the clutch change gear. I don't think that does any harm since we have rev-limiters.

I thought speed shifting was clutching with or without lifting the gas, and powershifting was banging gears without using the clutch. Hey dannystang, nice avatar!
