I purchased my V6 back in November. I personally like it and feel it has more than enough power. I was pleasantly surprised whe I test drove the V6. The power was a more than I expected for what I wanted. It's no Northstar, but I didn't have to pay $8,000 more to get to 55 1-2 seconds slower. It has plenty of passing power and even gets off the line with tires sqeeling if you want it to. Everyone has a different definition of power to them. Test drive one to see for yourself.

Bought a V6, its a better performer. Its not as fast as the Northstar of course, but it is a better built engine. Pulls hard all the way through the gears, plus with the V6, you have almost perfect weight distribution. I believe its 48/52. 50/50 is perfect. Its a great car no matter which engine you get. Tight, both engine plant u in the seat, both have unreal road manners. If I had to do it all again, I would. Love everything about it. Plus problem free. Except I broke the lumbar in the driver seat.

Test drove a STS V8 last monday while I was at a Corvette-Performance-Training here in Boxberg/Germany.

The new STS is a great car with fantastic road manners. I had it up to 265 kph (thats 165 mph). On wednesday my dealer here in Wuerzburg got his first STS V6 in, hope to get this car for a test-drive within the next two weeks.

Hi Rondog,
the 0-60 times between the V8 and the V6 is V8 6.2 sec - V6 6.8 sec
the 0-100 times V8 15.4 sec - V6 18.9 sec

I love the Northstar V8, because I got this engine in my XLR but I think the V6 is a very good engine and not that much slower than the V8

IŽll let you know after I drove the V6

Thanks Harry

I just posted three pics from the STS V8 I test-drove. It`s a press-car from switzerland.
Take a look at Cadillac-images
