I have an 04 CTS-V and I am debating between the Borla and Corsa exhaust system. Does anyone have any recomendations on either of the two?

I still haven't heard the Borla and can't seem to find any sound clips online. A board member had one of the first Borla systems installed but I haven't heard any feedback on it. I'm curious how it sounds myself.

Is B&B not an option?

Billy Boat betters Borla & Corsa by besting both in decibels and power! Now say that 5 times fast. :bonkers:

I will look into the B&B. I know that Borla has a great rep and Corsa is backed by GM. I don't know much about B&B but I will do some research. Does anyone know where i can get a sound clip of the B&B system?

I am 100% thrilled with my CORSA!!!!
beautiful pipe work, easy install, great sound!
Loud when I rev / launch... aggressive through gears...
quiete, non droning at a cruise... hairy at idle...
thats my vote!

I'm with you, the Corsa is exactly what I was looking for. I also agree with StealthV that if you want something a little more rude the B&B is perfect.

I love the sound clips of the B&B exhaust. I think I have decided to purchase the B&B. The sound is what I am going for and I believe they have the best sound out there. Does anyone have any feedback on what a Borla sounds like, they are well-known for their V8 exhaust sounds.

The biggest thing that brings me back to B&B is how stunning it looks with those tips and the pipes straddling underneath the differential.

The Corsa looks absolutely nerdy with those round mufflers. If it looked better, I may have given it consideration. But the B&B sounds great and looks better, a great match to the V!!

:yeah: ...

The chrome mufflers look a lot better than those corsa flowmaster looking cans hanging down. The corsa tips are nice.
But you still see the ugly mufflers.
The B&B does speak volumes about what's under the hood when revved!
A Very healthy V8!

CORSA A WINNER by far with no comparison. i have used borla in the past and it does not have a perfect fit and finish or a clean MUSCLE SOUND. i have also look into the b&b exhaust was not impressed with the sound.

IMO... since the car is a 4dr sedan, and is of luxury and performance you need the best of bth worlds... the B&B sound is reall deep and loud... not to mention constant... if you are on the track its great... very intimidating... but as an everyday driver who wants to hear that drown cruising around... Corsa gives both roar & peace... It depends on what you want / like. To me having the B&B is almost like have a tin can exhaust on a civic... loud, out of place and annoying... agian IMO...

that is one of my biggest concerns with the Corsa I don't think it looks real good. It doesn't seem to fit very clean. A lot of folks have their oppinons regarding exhaust systems, what about intakes? Does anyone recomend one brand over another? Or, are they recomended for the V at all?

I bought the Lingenfelter Intake, which is basically a large K&N filter and a heat sheild... It uses the stock pipe. it is very clean and stok lookiing which is what I like... not sure what else is really out there... I know there were problems with filters rubbing and ripping....

very true... point taken! :yup:
but thats why I saidits up to what someone is looking for.

I just bought the B&B exhaust system. I was not able to buy the X-pipe due to California emissions laws but I guess that is for the best because of how loud the X-pipe is. I am looking at getting the Lingenfelter intake also. Can't wait to get all this stuff on.
