So there is this 2005 that one of my friends friends has. He wants a chunk of the V and I know he will slaughter me right now...But in two weeks my BB will be here my intake will be here and my MAF kit for the sneaky little 100 shot im gonna lay in his ass:shhh:. Whats everybody think.. do I have a chance?:hmm:

if you hit him with the 100 shot I think if you don't mess up you will win.

he's all yours w/the 100 shot, IMHO

That E55 really moves, you'd be doing incredibly good just to be next to him at 100MPH. That's 519 ft lbs of torque at 4500 rpm in that rocket.

i can always up the shot!

You'll need 3 things, traction, traction and more traction. These damned E55's are getting low 12's consistently. Guys with Maggies are struggling to get mid 12's with 450+ hp. I doubt highly that you'll beat 'em unless you go from a roll.

Is 150 wet shot enough?

Parker

should be with intake exhaust and a tune, and we are going from a low roll.

100 shot of nitrous will leave that E55 in the dust, especially from a rolling start!:want:
Run out of the hole with him in first, after you fully engage 2nd gear hit the freak'n laughing gas and never look back.:histeric: Except in your rear view mirror as you gain car length after car length on him.
Set up the system right, bottle warmer etc...
NOS cannot be compared to a supercharger or a turbo. You will understand why when you hit that button. You will understand why we call it laughing gas.. Your friend in the E55 will want to wipe that Shit eat'n grin off your face!:bonkers:

Go for it! let us know what happens.
Always better to spray a little rich with the juice. Your motor will thank you with many bottle refills!

There is an E55 AMG at our golf club that has been eye-fuquin my V:tisk: . He's a doc and I'm a blue collar guy. I know I may be outgunned but I'm sure he doesn't know how to drive. I'll let you know, if he ever grows a pair, how it turns out:gun: .

it shouldnt be that hard to drive the auto E55. Ive used N2O before, and I have a turbo camaro out in the garage but that would be a total waste of gas. Thanks fellas for all the imputs.

Im pretty sure that the car is bone stock. I know that you can get a stage 1 package for them and make crazy power, but I highly doubt he has it. Ill know if he has exhaust at the least. They are still nutty fast stock.

And the blower is there all the time, unlike the bottle-babies.

Of course, the blowers are going away, next AMGs are supposedly 6.3L normally-aspirated (though they're getting more HP out of them.) Mercedes is going back to four-valve heads too.

At my local street legal race day there was a contigent of young Asian chaps. 19 - 25 years old. About 10 of them. Not ONE car was below $100k CDN. Three BMW 545i's, some Benz's a Porche Carrera 4 S and an E55.

the Carrera kid was 19. *shakes head in dismay*

Anyway the e55 did a 13.19 run.

I don't care HOW much money you have, giving your child a vehicle of that value is poor parenting. How can they possibly learn respect for anything - including how difficult it is to make money - when they are thrown the keys to a car of that value because Dad can afford too.

Thats why my son had a 95 Jetta 4 banger automatic with 90K on the clock to learn on.
Performance another issue, all kids get hurt but we shouldnt help them increase their odds.

Yes, word on the net is the kid died. Falling face first ,out of a car, into a parked cars bumper at 30mph, and taking the full shot in the face proved fatal for the guy. I never heard about the injuries to the kid on the bike that had the car door opened on him, though. I assume that it wasn't as bad...

Interesting thread - I've been away for some time but alas, I may have the answer to this riddle. I've owned a few fast toys and recently sold my Z06 to buy an '04 E55 from a friend who....well, long story, but I got a deal.

Anywho, there is simply no chance that my CTS-V, even with a 100HP shot of juice, would outrun the E55. Frankly, I would be very surprised if the CTS-V, equipped with drag radials, could plant enough HP to get it to beat the almost flawless launch of the E55. Sending the V to Mallett (or other builder) would be the first step but I am pretty comfortable saying that you would need to put 10's of thousands of dollars into the V to get it to run fender to fender with an '03 - '05 E55.

Twisties are a whole different story but if you want to avoid the E55 guy talking smack about you at the local grocery store, I would avoid any stoplight to stoplight action..

So (5150CTS-V) U are you telling me that a Magnacharged cts-v has no chance against the E55? I was lucky enough to drive the E55 & cts-v back to back & it felt pritty close & that was a Reg. cts-v. Hope to finde out soon Mag. is on it's way :2thumbs:

Gordy - I would think a Magna-charged CTS-V could run with an E55 in a rolling start at anything above 40MPH - but my E55 hooks up like a pro stock car and the V is simply weak in that category. HP isn't the issue for the V vs. the E55 IMHO.

Parker
05-31-05, 11:02 AM
Even from a 20 punch, I shouldnt have any problem hooking up. Ill get a video when it goes down.

I would have to agree the E55 is easyer to hook up from a dead dig.The fit & finish was pritty nice on that car.

Bought a 2005 V last thursday evening. Sold my 2003 Z06 end of last summer.
Was fortunate enough to run an E55 tuesday evening. Very impressive!! Running down the road at 45 mph when he pulled up next to me, I was able to stay with him(within a 1/4 car lenght) until about 105. Pulled up at alight 2 miles down the road, I didnt show real well that time, he jumped me by a full car lenght before 50mph. From there up he didnt advance much further. Definitely grabs like an animal. I was not aware this care was as tough as it is. I thought I would destroy him. Little did I know

I'm 21 and bought the V and all my mods on my own. Still in college but have a much better sense of how to make money than many of the 30+ year old people that I know. By the way, driving the V until I save up for the '07 turbo porsche. Real estate is where its all at :bling:
