I ordered the chrome platinum edition grille on may 2nd......
the website still shows special order...what gives with this place, thats a bit slow for any type of order (other than maybe custom parts)

I think mine took 10 days from order to my front door, I am 2 days away from them via UPS, I have heard of some taking longer lately due to how many they are selling. :)

did you even try to call them before you blasted them on a public forum? i'd bet the grilles are just back ordered right now.

I have ordered from them a few times and I have yet to receive any order earlier than 4 weeks. They are a chevy dealership and they special order almost every Cadillac item that they sell. Wait till you see your shipping charge as they inflate that as well.

That is usually true, but the S&H charges for my grill was $7.69, that was a deal. :)

If you can find thier # then :thumbsup: to you! It states specifically that they do not accept telephone calls.

I have had nothing but great experiences from them. I would imagine that it is backordered. They DO profit off the S+H, they have widely said that is where they make their money.

its probably so they don't get 1000 calls a day asking for part numbers. but they do list an email customerservice@gmpartsdirect.com

Timliness is a common complaint with them, but the prices are great.

I just plugged in a part # for the woodgrain console lid covers and they were $200 less than the dealer on a $460 part.

I am willing to wait a few months to save $200.

After e-mailing for a answer on where my grill was, I received this e-mail form them "

Your order should be shipping out by the first of next week. The latest
would be the middle of next week. You will receive a email once your
order has been shipped.

Thank You www.GmPartsDirect.com (http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/)"

So I mailed them today to see if the item would ship this week as told...

They were so nice to send me an e-mail ...
It stated

"NO"

Good Company...im going to cancell the order...even if I have to cancell a credit card to prevent delivery

I think you should have a bit more patience. Something tells me this isn't a common part that is ordered so it may take a little more time to get to you.

My local dealer told me that could not get the grill, then told me it would be a couple of weeks when I pressed them, not to metion their price was $200.00 more than GM Parts.com, that is what happens when you order "special order parts" that take some time. I think they are selling way more than they ever thought of these grills, I probably have at least 10 customers that I put the Platinum grills on for in the last 2 months. :)

My local dealer has the grill in stock, for $304.28 (wholesale) but none the less..I can walk in there and buy it for that, and would have had I known that this place had such poor service...so Be it...thanks for letting me vent!

That must be a big dealership, or they ordered one and someone did not take it, I called 6 Caddy dealers in the Phila area and no one had them in stock, they all said it was a special order, but no one was willing to touch GM Direct's price of $235.00.

i just order from them i hope i don't have that same problem adnit was a special order also.
