I have a lot of stuff hooked up to and in my computer and I think it almost died when I play graphic intensive games or video editing software. Currently I have 400watt and that's not nearly close to enough (my 12+ dipped to 10.8v and 1.5+ went to 1.39 :helpless: when I played Doom 3) How do I know how much watts I need? I have the following:

Asus K8V Deluxe with Athlon 64 3200+ Processor and 1 Gig of Kingston memory with heat spreader

2 Western Digital 37G SATA Raptor in RAID 0 along with another 160G WD SATA drive

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

Lite-On DVD-ROM and DVD+RW

ATI All In Wonder 9600XT video card

NZXTís black Guardian case with 4 case fans (7 total)

I'd go with at least 450, but a very stable 400 should be able to handle the load. Are the RAID HD's 10k RPM's?

I've seen them available up to 700 watts. Check the specs of your componants and add up the power requirements, then select a power supply that is at least 20% larger than total draw. Heat is also a factor, make sure you have plenty of ventilation in your case. If you need you can and should add one or two extra case fans to keep things cool. Be sure to facter them into your power draw calcs.
